A 600-year-old town that refused large-scale commercial makeover — in reality just a single ancient street a few hundred meters long, but with original timber-frame buildings, stone-paved lanes and the Liujia Courtyard's ancestral hall atmosphere still intact, and a large number of original residents still living here.
