Where the Yangtze cuts through Tongluo Mountain — one of Chongqing's 'mini Three Gorges.' Historically a strategic military chokepoint, the gorge still contains Song Dynasty fortress ruins built to resist Mongol forces and WWII anti-aircraft artillery positions.
